P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

Work efficiently and effectively to work schedules based on manufacturing plans. Follow complex written and verbal instructions. Ensure starting materials, components, cleaning materials and consumable parts are available. Make entries onto the inventory system (IFS) on a timely basis. Ensure good housekeeping and GMP standards in all areas. Take active part in daily manufacturing meetings on the factory floor. Maintain a safe working environment, follow all Health & Safety procedures. Be responsible for site, Health & Safety, fire evacuation and first aid in the absence of the Manufacturing Shift Leader.

Experience and Qualifications:

Experience as a Manufacturing Operator. Have experience of working in a busy production/manufacturing environment. Experience of working within a regulated manufacturing/production environment and associated documentation. Have previous experience to lead a small team in the absence of the Manufacturing Shift Leader (Desirable). Have previous experience in training others (Desirable).

Person Specification:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated with a proactive 'can do' approach and flexible. Good numerical, verbal, and written communication skills. Be a competent computer user. Be punctual and hardworking.

Working Hours and Benefits:

Week one: Monday - Thursday 6 am - 2 pm, Friday 6 am - 1 pm. Week two: Monday - Thursday 1.45 pm - 10 pm, Friday 12.45 pm - 6.45 pm. Holiday is 25 days less 4 to cover Christmas closure plus bank holidays. Pension offered at 5%, increasing to 6% after 5 years' service, this is offered on a matched / salary exchange basis. Life Assurance, payable at 4 times basic salary. Private health offered after a qualifying period. Free lunch offered daily, plus tea / coffee etc. Free onsite parking.
