Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in electro-mechanical testing and test house operations? We're seeking a Manufacturing Test Manager to oversee our testing and production processes in Sunbury-on-Thames. This role is integral to ensuring production and testing targets are met while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.

About You:

Proven experience as a Manufacturing Test Manager or similar leadership role. Strong background in managing a test house or electro-mechanical testing facility. Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing and a solid understanding of aerospace standards. Hands-on expertise in testing processes, including calibration of equipment and test rigs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and schedule workloads across shared service cells to meet operational plans and production deadlines. Oversee and lead the testing of electro-mechanical products, including calibration of chambers, test rigs, and associated equipment. Take full ownership of the ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) database and ensure comprehensive reporting for all test programs. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S implementation and structured problem-solving exercises. Supervise and train team members, fostering skill development and providing ongoing performance feedback. Analyse test and production data to identify root causes of issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, conducting regular personnel and operational reviews. Collaborate with other departments to improve testing processes and efficiency within the test house.

Key Requirements:

Extensive experience managing a test house or similar testing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, manage, and develop teams. Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 6S and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven expertise in testing electro-mechanical products and calibration processes. Strong analytical skills to evaluate test data and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and motivate teams. Proactive and adaptable, capable of working effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
