children’s home provision. We are an aspirational specialist school for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication needs and behaviour challenges for those aged 6 to 16 years. The on-site children’s home is registered for up to 8 children. The school is part of the SENAD Group of services and has a successful history of working with very complex young people who need highly focused support and wraparound education, care and therapy. The school offers fully individualised and inclusive education for day and residential children; we’re now looking for an experienced senior care leader who can collaboratively lead the care provision alongside the education team so that both areas of the school work to the highest standard and in tandem. This senior role offers a fantastic opportunity to continue to develop, with the Head Teacher, a vibrant home for children. The post holder will be supported by a dedicated staff team. You will have autonomy and the flexibility to share new creative ideas to further improve the service. You will also have the support from other Registered Managers, a Quality Compliance Manager and a Director of Children’s Services who operates as the Responsible Individual. We work closely together and place great value on sharing good practice and supporting one another. The successful candidate will effectively manage every aspect of the care provision and ensure we continue to provide an outstanding level of care and support for young people and their families. You will also be a champion for children’s rights and be able to hear their voice to develop the service to meet their needs. You should have considerable experience of working with complex young people and supporting staff to do so, in addition to relevant senior level care and OFSTED experience and have achieved or be willing to achieve the L5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare. We would love to welcome you to our team and will put in a support package for the right applicant, including mentoring and coaching with a strong peer group and continuous professional development.
