Are you an enthusiastic Marine Electrical Systems Inspector looking for an exciting new opportunity? We have a fantastic role for you - supporting the installation inspection and witness testing of Electrical systems onboard vessels in line with the current plan to achieve set delivery dates. This will be based in Inverclyde on a 12-month fixed-term contract. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Experience in installation, inspection, and commissioning of Marine Electrical systems The knowledge required for the assessment of defects against acceptance/rejection criteria required by standards, specification, Lloyds register rules Support a right first-time approach of Marine Electrical system operations to avoid potential for rework, non-compliant or substandard workmanship. Time served Marine Electrical Sound knowledge of marine codes & regulations Ability to communicate effectively with staff to facilitate timely and accurate completion of the inspection programmes Drive to consistently see things through to timely completion Influence – to have a positive impact without relying on others Ethics – to act with maturity, honesty, integrity and responsibility. JOB DESCRIPTION

Demonstrate health & safety competencies pertinent to the relevant methods, such as working at heights, in confined spaces and in restricted zones Drive a Right first-time approach for installation and sign off working with Production teams Monitors and/or evaluates electrical tests such as ground-fault, ground resistance, insulation resistance, polarity, continuity, capacity, load and other electrical field tests as required Field checks installation and location of electrical equipment, electrical duct, conduit, cable, panels and other components of the electrical system being installed Monitor the review documents/drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any Electrical components or systems Monitor safety aspects when dealing with Electrical installations Provide inspection of electrical equipment installations or modifications, witnesses testing and energization field activities Produce inspection reports and follow up on actions and see through to completion. In collaboration with QA support the creation/maintenance of survey procedures, standards and forms in Q-Pulse based on experience and expertise. Support the project plan to ensure the business meets the required completion dates for acceptance events. Safe operation of the testing and inspection equipment including calibration Working effectively within the limitations of standard tests and measurements relevant to their field of activity Liaise with colleagues in operation teams and report regularly on progress Demonstrate a disciplined approach relating to industry standard operations and processes Exhibit environmental awareness and undertake safe working practices for self and others REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER
