TGS 4C Offshore are looking for a proactive, highly organised, Marine Geoscience Consultant to join their team of route engineers.
As a Marine Geoscience Consultant, you will work as a member of the route engineering team, seeing projects through from initial feasibility studies to marine survey and beyond the installation phase to maintenance and decommissioning.
Your role is instrumental in supporting the team to ensure reliable and efficient service to clients developing power projects.
By contributing to the installation process of worldwide power networks and learning the fundamentals of submarine cable route planning you will play a part in shaping the future of international infrastructure.
Roles And Responsibilities
Route design engineering:
Conduct desktop studies to identify the optimum routes for submarine cables. Analyse shallow bathymetric, geophysical, and geotechnical data to assess seabed conditions and potential hazards. Linear asset ground modelling. Conduct cable burial assessment and reviews on existing assets. Technical Survey Management Support
Conduct thorough reviews of documentation and reports. Data review and QC. Contractor management and coordination. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations summarizing results and recommendations. Attend client meetings. Obligations
Client facing technical meetings. Assist with technical input for tendering. Maintain awareness of developments in submarine cable engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices. Vessel, site, or client office visits. Attendance to exhibitions/conferences. What You Will Have
Degree in Geoscience, engineering or related subject. 7 years marine survey experience. Excellent understanding of shallow marine geophysical survey. Proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and major projects with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written. Proficiency in GIS and strong IT literacy skills.
