Job Overview
KBR has an urgent need for a Lead Marine Systems Engineer to work on a pre-FEED and FEED for a major FPSO project. This is a 12 month+ contract role with an immediate start; the rate is negotiable. The role will be based on 5 days a week in the KBR Offices in Leatherhead, with hybrid working possible for up to three days remote.
The role is likely to be outside IR35, but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.
Job Description
As a Senior Technical Professional Leader - Naval Architectural marine systems specialist, you will provide support to the Lead related to this discipline. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to: designing hull systems such as cargo storage, transfer and export, slop system, drains, ballast system, inert gas and venting systems, cooling water, diesel and lube systems, and the interfaces between the marine systems and other interfaces such as the turret or topsides.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or a directly related discipline required.
• 10+ years (minimum) of experience in Marine Engineering.
• Strong knowledge in marine systems in FPSOs.
• Strong knowledge of Class and Regulatory requirements for FPSO marine systems.
