As we continue to achieve considerable growth across all sectors, we are now looking to expand our maritime safety team to meet an increasingly diverse client portfolio. We’re specifically looking for people with a demonstrable background in providing maritime safety support, within a consultancy environment, who are looking to take on key roles within the business and develop our services within key customer accounts. Key attributes: Circa 4+ years in a consultancy environment Circa 4+ years working in UK defence, ideally in maritime, but other areas will be considered Recent and proven experience of undertaking detailed hazard and risk analysis utilising such techniques as SWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, LOPA, etc. Detailed working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards including DSA02-DMR and Def Stan 00-056 Proven track record in managing and delivering large/complex technical projects and/or multiple concurrent technical projects Proven track record in successfully delivering large and/or complex bids Successful track record in providing business development support Highly desirable: Recent experience in acting as an Independent Safety Auditor/Advisor Detailed knowledge of some/all of the following standards: Def Stan 00-055, Mil Std 882E, IEC 61508 Proven track record in developing and maintaining successful client relationships, securing enduring workstreams Experience of staff management Chartered Engineer, Member or Fellow of a relevant professional institution You will have a smart, professional approach and will be able to fit quickly into a growing, flexible team. You’ll need to provide clients with a high level of assurance that they are being supported by a professional, responsible and caring consultancy. Excellent communication skills and a high standard of English and grammar, supported with a sound technical engineering background, will be required. You will need to be highly effective in organising your own time and workload, especially when working from home. Due to the nature of the work, you must be able to obtain UK security clearance.
