Working alongside the North America and India regional leads, you will report into the Global Head of Market Data Vendor Management with direct responsibility for 3 team members. In this role you will be expected to identify opportunities to deliver excellence to our internal business stakeholders through gathering critical information, developing innovative solutions, and delivering outcomes that meet and exceed expectations across operating effectiveness and leadership excellence. In this role you are responsible for ensuring Columbia Threadneedle Investments receives the most appropriate and cost-efficient services from 3rd parties, manages others to deliver end to end vendor management for our internal clients, and is an ambassador for the firm in external engagements. How you'll spend your time: Lead Columbia Threadneedle negotiations with suppliers Accountable for effective controls on procurement, invoices, spend, and cost centre allocations Identify opportunities, make recommendations to optimise expenditure, and then manage through to completion Direct others to ensure the delivery of core responsibilities and the support of all requests/projects from internal stakeholders Manage the delivery and prioritisation of work across the team, ensuring individuals have the appropriate skills and knowledge to deliver on time and to budget Organise the priority of change requests received by team, effectively assigning projects to team members whilst being accountable for the delivery on time and to the expectations of our internal stakeholders Champion a culture that promotes efficiency and effectiveness Work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders to meet and exceed expectations linked to the core deliverables of the team Accountable for all team deliverables Identify stretch targets for self and team and implement plans to meet them Develop and maintain a high-performing team through effective hiring, performance management and development through coaching and mentoring Aware of the risk that 3rd parties present and contribute thought leadership in business forums designed to flag, mitigate, and overcome 3rd party provider risks Develop internal and external relationships for the benefit of the firm Seek external opportunities to demonstrate competence in relevant Market Data subject matter and leverage those external opportunities for the benefit of the firm Convert external engagements into tangible deliverables that have a positive impact on the firms results, processes, and procedures To be successful in this role you will have: Excellent industry knowledge of market data vendor and research suppliers, products and services Strong experience in vendor negotiations, understanding of contract terms and data licensing Experienced people management skills with excellent track record coaching and developing others Client facing skills to effectively represent services to senior business users Confident pro-active personality with a strong ability to convey ideas and manage relationships with a wide variety of internal customers and external suppliers Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate confidently with individuals at all levels of the organisation with the ability to motivate and influence others Ability to support multiple projects in complex business and technology environments in relation to managing 3rd party licensing impacts and the effects of change Ability to identify critical data points from disparate information sources and deliver results A mature Risk mindset with ability to identify risks, convey appropriate oversight of risks, and identify and implement effective controls It would be great if you also had: Industry Qualifications (IAC, FPC, IAQ, CFA) Experience using a Market Data Inventory tool About Columbia Threadneedle Investments Working at Columbia Threadneedle Investments you'll find growth and career opportunities across all of our businesses.
