Principal accountabilities Work with the market and internal stakeholders to support the growth of OTC financial products and liquid exchange contracts for commodities referenced on Fastmarkets prices in agriculture, pulp, paper, wood products and metals, minerals and mining.

The current priority will be to focus on agriculture, specifically energy transition markets that include biofuels and battery making raw materials. Understand and keep up to date on the competitive landscape and contribute to the actions and to the tactical plans to overcome these challenges. Develop and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders within partner accounts in the financial landscape. Promote the financialization of Fastmarkets prices. Manage commercial negotiations with exchange partners.

Promote price adoption across all the markets we have prioritised through.

Assessing supply chains to identify key customers. Contacting and engaging with these customers alongside editorial and sales teams. Leveraging the support of marketing and product. Developing mid-senior relationships in named accounts responsible for pricing decisions and trading desks.

Ensure that we are maximising long-term commercial opportunities by

Market sizing to identify new growth and emerging markets for coverage. Assessing the financial opportunities that are incremental to existing plans. Working with marketing and product on go to market strategies. Influencing editorial coverage.

Interest and knowledge of commodities trading/exchange business/clearinghouse business model. Experience in one of Fastmarkets strategic markets: Forest Products, Agriculture, Metals, Mining & Minerals.

Commercial

Ability to quickly research and assess the opportunities in new and emerging markets. Assess the financial opportunities available and lead the plan to deliver them. Understanding of commercial terms in licensing agreements. Knowledge of negotiation strategies and tactics.

Market-facing

Building and cultivating new relationships. Delivering the financial opportunities associated with them.
