We are looking for a student interested in taking an

industrial placement year

within our Strategy and Market Intelligence team. The market intelligence team is the data analysis arm of OEUK, our primary role is to develop data-driven insight into energy market trends, used to guide decisions made by OEUK. Role Responsibilities The successful candidate will be required to work together with our current business advisors to undertake several duties including: Providing market intelligence, analysis and insight on the UK’s energy industry, supporting the preparation of reports and insights commissioned by the teams within OEUK. Servicing the research, analytical and reporting requirements of OEUK in a timely and professional manner. Developing knowledge in the UK energy sector. Being an active member of OEUK’s young professionals forums and workshops. Being an active member of our Shared Values (D&I) team. Core Competencies Ability to prepare, analyse and present information in an effective and timely manner. Good communicator with oral and written fluency to match. Highly analytical with experience using large data sets, intermediate – advanced excel skills. Ability to think clearly, critically and decisively. Skilled in compiling, manipulating and analysing data. Strong interpersonal skills. Highly organised. Evidence of strong work ethic and awareness of discretion and need to observe confidentiality in all matters. Requirements It is essential that potential candidates are undergraduates working towards a 2:1 degree or above ideally in a relevant degree discipline e.g. economics, business, engineering or sciences.
