In addition to the main office in Norway, Kongsberg Norcontrol has offices in Sweden, UK, India, Singapore, and Australia. Our global organisation continues to grow, and we are seeking an experienced Market Manager with proven success within marketing and sales in the maritime domain industry and specifically Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) and port management. Responsibilities and tasks The main responsibilities of the Market Manager are to manage, drive and develop Kongsberg Norcontrol’s continued growth in the VTS and Port Management market area globally. Specific tasks will include: Develop and maintain a Market Strategy for the market area. Develop and maintain short- and long-term market plans that ensure our growth in the market area. Develop profitable long-term business with existing and new clients. Act as sales lead on selected cases. Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships. Provide input and knowledge on competitors, marketing and future market needs. Track & report results at regular intervals. Follow up and support Sales Managers with market expertise. Participate in relevant international conferences, events and committee working groups. Qualifications and Experience University degree in business and/or technology 5+ years of experience from the maritime industry, preferably within maritime surveillance and maritime port operations Fluent oral and written English Successful business development and/or marketing leadership within the maritime industry Successful sales in a high technology industry, preferably within VTS or Port industries Strong professional network within the industry Affiliations to relevant professional bodies in the industry and will thrive presenting at industry forums, such as IALA, IMO, Nautical Institute and/or Harbour Master organisations Personal skills Proactive, result and action-oriented Business-minded Team-player Reliable and practical An inspiring and safe work environment Professional and personal development Interesting challenges in a world-leading company in strong growth Extensive travel opportunities This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, or a background check.
