Grade 8, £40,219 – £43,414 (inclusive of local weighting), Full time. Fixed Term until 31st March 2026 Based at BEAM, Hertford (Cultural and Entertainment Hub) with the option for some hybrid working.

About the role

A rare and exciting opportunity for a dynamic Marketing and Sales Manager to join BEAM, Hertford, a brand-new flagship cultural destination comprising a 547-seat Theatre, 150-seat Studio, 3x Cinemas, rehearsal studios, bars and community spaces. Working alongside an experienced and passionate team, the successful candidate will lead on, and manage, all the Marketing, Communications and Promotional Activity for BEAM, devising innovative campaigns and delivering financial success through robust sales.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Develop appropriate data-led marketing plans and strategies for all activity associated with the new building including, but not limited to, the new seasons of work and individual live shows and films, the café bar offer, associated rooms for hire and the education and outreach programme. Lead the marketing and ticketing team to ensure the successful promotion of all live and recorded events, within a blended work environment; ensuring all the team are kept abreast of all relevant business or employment matters. In conjunction with the Commercial and Cultural Development Manager (Venue Director), develop a comprehensive Marketing and Sales Strategy. Develop, manage and deliver the new seasonal promotional brochure(s). Develop, manage and deliver attractive and cost-effective membership schemes. Maintain and oversee the profile of BEAM on all Social Media platforms, establishing and developing its ‘unique voice’. Gather relevant data to articulate the business plan and inform programming strategy. Manage and maintain oversight of the marketing budget and sales targets. Contribute to the ongoing financial forecasting process and business planning.

This role will suit an ambitious, experienced Marketing professional who is keen to make their mark on a dynamic cultural destination. If you are an enthusiastic team player, creative problem-solver, have an eye for detail and are well-networked across the Arts and Culture sectors then this role is for you.

The ideal candidate will have:

Significant experience of marketing and communications within an arts, culture or relevant setting. Experience of leading a marketing team within an arts, or culture or relevant setting. Experience of marketing a wide range of shows, films and events. Experience of marketing a range of community, education and outreach activities. Experience of optimising market-leading back-end CRM ticketing systems e.g., Spektrix. Experience managing budgets and working to targets.
