The Marketing Assistant reports to the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Head of Bids, Brand & Communication, who reports to the Sales & Marketing Director. The day-to-day role involves taking briefs from our Head Office departments and field-based teams and turning them into creative, engaging and informative pieces of content. You will need to be able to work within brand guidelines with a keen eye for detail whilst also demonstrating creativity and innovation. We are looking for a creative, talented, charismatic and enthusiastic individual who wants to be part of a very successful marketing team. You will enjoy visiting our sites and meeting engaged and interesting people, all working towards a culture of togetherness and belonging. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing, communication and content creator. You must know social media (particularly LinkedIn and Twitter) inside out and must be computer literate with good experience in – Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and video-making software. We work within various creative programmes, so experience across the MS 365 suite is essential. You will have worked with PowerPoint and know about other Microsoft Office programmes. We are looking for someone who knows their way around WordPress and updating website content. The role is based in the City of London's exciting and historic area. It is office-based, with some flexibility dependent on workload and the business’s needs. - Face-to-face meeting, along with a portfolio of your work. Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role is essential. Proficient in the use of video editing, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, PowerPoint and the MS365 Office suite. Excellent writing, grammar and copyediting skills. Stellar layout designing skills. Proven diligence, attention to detail and proof-reading capabilities are essential. An ability to tell stories in an entertaining and compelling way. The ability to research information with a creative and innovative approach. Previous experience in a marketing environment, liaising with other departments and with the Senior Management Team is also essential. Key Tasks of The Role: You will be working in a dynamic sales and marketing team. Your role will be varied and fast-paced. You will help generate promotional opportunities through all marketing channels and create beautiful and eye-catching content for advertising campaigns, branded content, and social media. You will be enthusiastic, have a lively and charismatic personality, and have strong communication and administration skills. You must also be very organised and confident, able to multi-task, work to tight deadlines, be a positive collaborator, and bring new ideas that promote creativity and engagement. An Overview of The Role Is Detailed Below: Support the Marketing Manager with all marketing and communication related activities. Act as a mentor and support to the Sales & Marketing Apprentice. Provide onsite marketing support at events and customer activities. Support operational teams with customer communications. Organise and co-ordinate photoshoots. Maintain the company website. Creative design and briefing (as part of the campaign/communications). Developing internal and external marketing collateral, including "fact sheets" copy for brochures and presentations. Managing social media, responding to followers, comments and always enhancing engagement. Taking ownership of social media campaigns. Creation and designing of email headers, direct mail, print or web design. Overseeing protection of the brand and design. Organise branded merchandise for marketing activities. Maintain and update general marketing collateral/materials and report templates. Copywriting for online and offline content: press releases/news stories, emails, collateral, website, newsletters, blogs, social media. Support PR and marketing strategies, create case studies / creative side of promotional literature, advertising and artwork. Updating the company’s database as required. Obtaining competitor information as and when required. Preparation of the monthly Senior Management Review Report. Preparation of sales literature and tender presentations as required.
