Our Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team has a new vacancy for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Marketing & Events Executive to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months. You will play a key role in organising and managing our events, ensuring they run smoothly, professionally, and successfully. The variety of events means no day will be the same, from sporting competitions and networking activities to seminars and webinars. Your responsibilities will cover the entire event management lifecycle, from researching and proposing event options to the invitation process, working with colleagues to deliver on-the-day arrangements, promoting event details to relevant audiences, and running a review process afterwards. In addition, you will provide general administrative support to the MBD team in a wide range of areas, from posting content on our website and various social media to creating and distributing engaging communications, to being a key ‘brand guardian’. We are looking for someone with proven experience successfully managing multiple events, so excellent project management and organisational skills are essential. You must be able to handle multiple priorities and plan and manage other stakeholders’ expectations so that events and marketing activities are delivered on time and as scheduled. As a confident and articulate communicator, you will need to be friendly, approachable, and team-focused, and you should be used to working collaboratively and flexibly. You will need to be creative, have an excellent eye for detail, and be comfortable using and learning CRM systems, and various social media platforms, intranets, and websites. Ideally, your experiences will have been gained in a professional services or in an events management environment. Finally, although we operate a Hybrid Working policy, some flexibility will be required to host or attend events that take place before or after our normal office hours and to collaborate with colleagues in our Leeds and Huddersfield offices. If you have the skills and experiences we are looking for and this sounds like an opportunity you would like to pursue, we’d like to hear from you. Please send your CV and a covering email, including details of your current salary, to our HR Director, Neil Towse (neiltowse@schofieldsweeney.co.uk).
