International Marketing Executive - Spain

The Role

SportsShoes are looking for an open minded, creative individual to support our international e-commerce and marketing team, translators and designers to improve our Spanish website content, newsletters and social media presence and raise brand awareness in the Spanish market by working with content creators and influencers in Spain.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical thinker. They will be able to conduct insightful market research to establish a marketing strategy that will effectively reach the target audience. They should be comfortable evaluating the marketing process, and work to critique and improve its outcomes. The ideal candidate will be passionate and commercially minded as you will be working with a number of key stakeholders both internal and external of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Development and implementation of marketing strategy and communications plan for Spain, enhancing meaningful engagement with multiple stakeholders; Coordination of design, content and production of all marketing materials for the Spanish market; including publications, email campaigns, newsletters, reports, presentations, social media posts, and press articles; Translation of email campaigns and analysing and reporting on the success of email campaigns for the Spanish market; actively giving recommendations on how to improve performance of those email campaigns; Posting on Spanish social media channels (Instagram and Facebook); as well as copywriting for social and moderating comments; Curating and expanding a network of talent/runners and content creators in Spain; Working with Spanish influencers and talents in the running, fitness and outdoor industry; Assisting the international marketing manager with planning, coordinating and executing campaigns and content creation in Spain; for instance, work on local marathon or trail running campaigns; Assisting the international marketing, design and product team with website banner updates; Maintaining and updating the Spanish website with a content management system to keep all content up to date for relevant promotional campaigns and product launches; including website testing; Setting up paid social media campaigns for Instagram and Facebook; Copywriting for Spanish marketing campaigns; knowledge of SEO content writing beneficial; Research the Spanish running, sports and online retail market, identifying trends and communicating them to the marketing team; stay up-to-date on current marketing trends; Identifying new opportunities in the Spanish market and monitoring competitor activity; Manage and allocate budget correctly.

Qualifications

Spanish native speaker, or University degree in Spanish Studies or Translations (2:1 minimum requirement); or Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Degree (2:2 minimum requirement) with languages, or similar qualification; Knowledge of the running and/or sports industry beneficial; Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred; Good verbal and written communication in English; Strong analytical, communication, time-management and creativity skills; Knowledge of social media, paid social media, affiliate marketing and/or email marketing preferred; Excellent written skills, applying an editorial and commercial tone as well as Spanish copywriting skills are key; Strong eye for detail and accuracy; Strong ability to focus on customer/market and take initiative; Creative individual with new ideas for business opportunities in the Spanish market and the confidence to communicate those ideas; Confidence in working under pressure with a high level of reliability; Enthusiasm and proactiveness to take full ownership of projects; A self-starter who is equally happy working under direction and as a member of a team; High level of time management and organisational skills; Microsoft Office literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Experience with organic social media and paid social media campaign beneficial; Experience of digital marketing and driving the presence of the organisation.

Line manager: Claudia Lohe (International Marketing Manager) Working hours (normally 37.5 hours per week; Monday-Friday) Annual leave: 25 days (plus bank holidays) Probation period length: 3 month Notice period length: 1 month Hybrid: 1-2 days office presence per week, 3-4 days working from home (usual office day at the moment is Tuesdays);
