£25,000 per annum The Stage Media is seeking a marketing executive to join its marketing team. One of the UK’s oldest media groups, The Stage Media Company has an extensive publishing history which makes it a fantastic organisation to continue your marketing career. The Stage Media Company is the primary source of up-to-date news and services for the UK’s theatre, performing arts and book publishing industry. Its two weekly titles, The Stage and The Bookseller, are established leaders within their respective fields, offering industry news, authoritative reviews and insightful features. As a Marketing Executive, you will be reporting to the Head of Marketing and assisting with a range of subscriptions marketing activity. The hands-on role includes marketing across all channels including print, digital, social media as well as facilitating partnerships and attending events and exhibitions. This role is suitable for someone with some experience in a marketing role and an interest in developing their subscription marketing skillset. Applicants must have attention to detail, a desire to learn, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload. An understanding of the book trade and/or theatre industry and the specific challenges and opportunities faced in these sectors would be an advantage. Key responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to: Subscriber acquisition campaigns

Campaign planning, implementation, and analysis to increase subscriber acquisition Deliver fantastic email marketing, including copywriting and list management With support from the social team, run social media (organic and paid), PPC and display campaigns, including retargeting Working with the inhouse designer to create impactful print and digital collateral Measure and review performance with key ROI and KPI criteria to increase success

Subscriber retention campaigns

Plan and execute retention campaigns including email renewal series Optimise touchpoints across the subscription lifecycle Promotion of subscription benefits and usage of partner discounts

Group subscription campaigns

Delivery of campaigns focused on corporate and multi-user subscriptions Support sales staff with necessary insight and messaging Provide sales staff with collateral required for subscriptions sales pitches

Events and partnerships

Represent our brands at industry events including awards and conferences Develop partnerships and contra deals with relevant industry partners Seek opportunities to promote subscriptions with our owned events

Other

Undertaking research related to subscriptions marketing when requested and presenting findings to educate the team Staying on top of marketing trends, platform updates and new features and sharing this with the marketing team Supporting the marketing team with general activity where required and especially at busy periods

Knowledge, skills and experience Experience working in a marketing environment, preferably in subscriptions within a media organisation Thorough understanding and demonstrable evidence of successful implementation and measurement of online marketing including email, paid social and paid search campaigns Experience of analysing marketing metrics and producing reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns Robust communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and accurately with people at all levels within the organisation and external suppliers Experience of data management as well as thorough GDPR knowledge Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and workload Exceptional attention to detail Experience with marketing technology, such as Wordpress, Affino, Adestra or equivalent Positive and enthusiastic attitude Able to balance competing priorities and a busy workload Committed to personal development The Stage Media Company welcomes people from a range of backgrounds, and with different perspectives.
