The Marketing Manager will develop and implement the YDance marketing plan and will work closely with the Executive Director and Artistic Director to review and develop the organisation’s overall marketing strategy. This role involves creating and delivering effective marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency, supporting income generation, and working with the press. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of YDance’s marketing strategy and grow within the role as the organisation continues to expand its reach and impact. Key Responsibilities

Line Management

The Marketing manager will line-manage the Marketing and Administrative Assistant alongside the Office Administrator and, when necessary, freelance staff. Marketing and Campaign Planning

Develop, review, and implement sales and marketing plans within agreed-upon budgets for all YDance projects, events, and merchandise. Create and execute individual project campaign plans aligned with the overarching Marketing and YDance Strategic Plans. Achieve targets for income generation from the sales of services, resources, and merchandise. Brand and Content Management

Ensure compliance with YDance brand guidelines across all internal and external communications. Create and approve all artwork, press releases, and marketing materials to reflect YDance’s status as a national organisation. Digital Marketing

Manage and maintain YDance’s digital presence, including creating e-newsletters and updating the website. Plan, oversee, and monitor social media content on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Instagram, among other platforms. Press and Media Relations

Generate coverage in national and local news outlets for YDance projects. Create and distribute press releases, foster positive relationships with press and media representatives, and maintain records of media coverage. Design and Production

Produce high-quality print and digital marketing materials in-house and coordinate with designers, printers, artists, and filmmakers for specialised content. Oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials, including YDance teaching resources, staff clothing, and merchandise. Representation and Networking

Represent YDance at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations to promote the organisation’s work. Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience

Degree in marketing (or equivalent) or a general degree with experience in a marketing environment. Experience in effective line management of other team members. Proven experience in copywriting and proofreading. Track record of creating and implementing comprehensive marketing campaigns. Proficiency in Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or similar. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content creation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and literacy skills. Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience in marketing within the arts sector. Creative thinker with experience of developing marketing strategies and plans. Networking and presentation experience. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or similar video editing software. A full driving licence. A passion for the arts, particularly dance. Terms and Benefits

Hours of Work:

37.5 hours per week (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break per day). Standard working hours are Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. Due to the nature of YDance projects, working hours may vary and some evening and weekend work can be expected. Location:

Hybrid – Tuesday-Thursday based in the YDance Office @ South Block, 60-64 Osborne St. Glasgow G1 5QH, with Monday & Friday working from home or remotely. Salary:

£28,000 – £31,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits:

3% pension contribution, private healthcare, and flexible working opportunities. No overtime is payable. Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) will be granted for additional hours worked. Holiday entitlement is 26 days per year, 5 of which must be taken over the Christmas and New Year period, plus 11 public holidays. Professional Development
