Voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed) Cowes Harbour Commission seeks an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Board as a Non-Executive Commissioner specialising in Marketing and Public Relations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and future success of Cowes Harbour, a key maritime hub at the heart of the Isle of Wight's economy and community. The Role As a Non-Executive Commissioner, you will: Provide expert guidance on marketing and public relations strategies to enhance the visibility, reputation, and engagement of Cowes Harbour. Contribute to developing strategic initiatives that promote sustainable growth and strengthen stakeholder relationships. Bring a fresh perspective to Board discussions and help shape policies that ensure the Harbour’s long-term success. Attend and actively participate in approximately eight board meetings annually, offering insights and advice based on your expertise. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a passionate individual with: Significant experience in marketing, public relations, or communications, preferably in a maritime, tourism, or community-focused context. Proven strategic thinking and a track record of delivering impactful campaigns. Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. A commitment to the values of transparency, sustainability, and community engagement. An understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges facing Cowes Harbour and its stakeholders.
