Our Bristol based client is looking for a Mass Properties Engineer to support the finalisation of the design of work packages.
OUTSIDE IR35. START:
ASAP DURATION:
12 MONTHS CLEARANCE:
SC RATE:
£30-£34 PER HOUR x 8 HOURS PER DAY LOCATION:
3 DAYS IN BRISTOL/2 DAYS REMOTE
Responsibilities:
Provide component and detailed mass properties (weight, centre of gravity, inertia) and contribute to the component optimisation process. Define weight status, target weights (detailed parts and component level), route to target and track weight risk & opportunities. Calculate delivery component weight, and perform actual weight and balance measurement on detail parts, assemblies and components. Contribute in design reviews, weight maturity reviews and weight savings. Collaborate with many technical disciplines to understand and to challenge the component design in the quest for optimum weight.
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
