Could you be the full-time Material Controller to join our team in Plymouth and be a key member of the Supply Chain Team based at Laira depot, to manage the Materials Requirements Planning process to ensure materials are available for Operational requirements whilst meeting inventory budgets?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge in Plymouth and apply your Material Controller expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Platform Materials Manager and work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team in Alstom UK&I.

Day-to-day, you’ll maintain & update MRP parameters in the business system, as well as the creation of new parts and management of obsolete material. We’ll look to you to perform the following: Review MRP Output Validate demand and create requisitions (incl transfers) to meet demand Measure and report on planned orders and requisitions held in need of additional sourcing data Maintain MRP parameters (order point and order policy) to ensure adequate supply of materials based on lead time and cost Create depot specific Material Master for new Items Identify obsolete materials and liaise with Stores Management for the disposal through finance procedures, updating Material Master records with changes Support the business through the provision of additional data in the form of reports and Key Performance indicators (KPI’s) as specified by the Supply Chain Ensure compliance to procedure and process Maintain all Material Master records Provide full Supply Chain support for any identified project activities / requirements Act as an ambassador for Alstom and the Supply Chain function both internally and externally
