Material Controller
/ Basildon / £25 per hour Are you a proactive Material Controller with a passion for ensuring seamless material flow in a manufacturing environment? Our Client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Organisation, is seeking a motivated Material Controller to join their team in Basildon. Key Responsibilities:
Organise and issue materials to manufacturing. Maintain traceability of materials and finished goods. Contribute to the Master Production Schedule. Handle returns of faulty materials. Collaborate with engineers to maintain build standards. Manage works orders for new builds and repairs. Ensure material availability per the MPS. Generate shipping documentation and book shipments. Process customer repairs and monitor product shelf life. Control and report on government-furnished assets. Liaise with suppliers and customers. Manage inventory and resolve SAP issues. Requirements:
Experience in material planning/control in manufacturing or similar. Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is highly desirable. Organised, logical thinker, numerate, and proactive. Technical Skills:
Must Have:
Experience in material planning/control environments. Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and test environments. Proficiency in email, Excel, Word, and Teams. Proven technical experience in production control. Nice to Have:
Experience with SAP material control. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, this is a temporary contract for 6 months with the potential to extend.
