Materials Controller
Materials Controller focuses on coordinating all materials management activities.
What the role involves
- Coordinating all materials management activities.
- Overseeing ordering of equipment and materials in line with project schedules and operational requirements.
- Ensure full traceability and integrity of materials control systems.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve materials management procedures and systems.
- Liaise closely with procurement, engineering, construction, and logistics teams to forecast demand and mitigate supply risks.
- Monitoring stock levels, identify surplus/obsolete materials, and optimise inventory holding.
Skills and requirements
- Manage goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring accurate documentation, manifests, and certification compliance.
Additional role context
- Ensures materials are procured, received, stored, controlled, and issued safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, compliance requirements, and commercial objec.
- The position acts as the key interface between procurement, suppliers, project teams, and site operations.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers where beneficial to project or operational performance.
