Department FunctionThe central Production team provides support, guidance and best practices for the BU production teams to strive towards a consistent delivery of a high-quality product for our customers. The department works closely with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve quality, efficiency, and the ongoing development of our production-based people. Production has many touchpoints and influences with a range of functions throughout the business from Technical and Design and Health and Safety through to Finance, Sales, Customer Service and Human Resources. The department has a wide range of roles within the business, ranging from site-based apprentices, trades and management through to office-based administration, managers and directors. Continuous professional development is encouraged via our Production Academy, working towards a fully qualified production management workforce. Job summary/PurposeTo efficiently manage the call off and delivery of materials in line with the build programme across a number of sites. To process customer options across same sites.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure materials are called off in time to meet the events programmeLiaise with Suppliers to confirm delivery arrangementsFollow up any outstanding ordersMonitors build progress with site teams to ensure materials due in are still required to dates requested.Liaise with site teams re deliveries discrepancies / damagesRegular checks with site teams for excess stock.Monitor production programmes in relation to stock and advise the Site Manager of potential shortagesReport any schedule issues to commercialUndertake other duties appropriate to the position as dictated by business needExperience, Qualifications, Technical RequirementsStrong knowledge of building materialsBuilding knowledge (through site production experience & materials control)Computer LitracyFull Clean Driving LicenceInclusivity StatementAs a proud Disability Confident Employer, Taylor Wimpey is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
