We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. Our planning, engineering, environmental, and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We are looking for a motivated, proactive Materials Engineer to join our Special Services team. You will be working on unique, technically demanding projects across a range of sectors. This will involve addressing technical queries, preparing durability assessments for new structures, writing specifications, conducting on-site inspections, reviewing available data, developing remedial and maintenance options, and providing advice on sustainable solutions. Job description: You’ll manage your own work on various projects and ensure work is carried out to a high standard. You will share your skills and knowledge across the team and develop your skills to be involved in more specialist areas. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing durability assessments and developing solutions to ensure the structure achieves its design life. Providing general advice and developing innovative and sustainable solutions for clients. Ensuring deliverables meet project requirements and handling client expectations. Contributing to global projects, providing technical input and quality deliverables. Planning and undertaking inspections and overseeing materials testing on various structures. Ensuring effective communication with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Candidate specification: You have a foundation in materials technology within civil engineering disciplines and an interest in growing your technical and management skills. You have experience writing technical reports and presenting project material. You are willing to take on new problems and adapt to new opportunities. You will also be able to demonstrate: Master’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline, preferably specialising in construction Materials. Chartered with a relevant professional institution or working towards chartership. Knowledge of civil engineering assets. An interest in gaining experience with different materials. Data processing skills (preferably using VBA or other coding languages). Willingness to travel nationally or internationally for projects. UK Immigration:
