We are currently looking for a Materials Scientist to join our team, reporting directly to the Head of R&D Science and Technology. This is a unique opportunity to become GAMA’s in-house expert in materials science, driving innovation and sustainability within our consumables portfolio. In this role, you will combine cutting-edge research with practical applications, supporting our product development and compatibility efforts while building strong relationships with medical device manufacturers and suppliers. Your work will directly contribute to the evolution of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and environmental responsibility. What will you do? Act as GAMA’s expert in materials science, supporting on a variety of business elements from product development to customer interactions. Build relationships with medical device manufacturers and strategic suppliers to enhance product innovation and sustainability. Conduct material testing, develop new test methods, and maintain detailed reports. Provide technical guidance on material compatibility challenges and regulatory compliance. Manage the materials science lab, ensuring high safety and quality standards. Publish research and deliver training across the organisation. Proven expertise in applying materials science to consumables products. Advanced knowledge of material compatibility standards and manufacturing processes for non-wovens. Strong communication skills and experience building supplier and manufacturer relationships. What will you get when you join GAMA?
