Job summary
This post will assist the risk management and maternity clinical governance team by providing day-to-day administrative support for risk management and clinical governance.
The administrator will play a key role in supporting and assisting the clinical risk and governance team in coordinating and supporting the complete range of quality governance activities including the management of incidents and resulting actions, assisting with the compilation of relevant reports.
Main duties of the job
To assist the clinical risk and governance team in coordinating and supporting the complete range of quality governance activities including the management of incidents and resulting actions.
Assist in validating databases with patient-level data.
Provide administrative support to the Maternity Risk Management Group & Maternity Guideline Group meetings ensuring that agendas and papers are sent in advance of meetings and produce minutes, which are of high quality and distributed within an agreed timeframe.

Essential
Advance and Accurate Keyboard skills
Provide evidence of continuous personal and professional development
Knowledge of project administrative procedures and systems
Desirable
Excellent IT skills including the ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Administration experience in clinical/NHS Setting
Assist with stationery and supplies requisitions and office supplies and stock levels

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
Evidence of continuing professional development

Confident communicator, capable of organising meetings, taking notes/minutes and preparing agendas

To carry out general administrative duties e.g. paper and electronic filing, distribution of and photocopying and formatting of documents, maintenance of stationery stock.
To provide administrative support to meetings, as required. This includes diary management, preparing agendas, taking action notes and minutes, circulating papers in a timely manner.
Experience of participating in clinical governance initiatives

Assist in validating databases with patient level data
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the complaint response processes, including maintaining a database to log and track the complaints as well as detailing action plans and closure.
Knowledge of project administrative procedures and systems
