Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice on a maternity cover basis, from April 2025, for two days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-5pm, in a fully private practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental procedures, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health. Perform medical imaging as required to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments performed. Collaborate with dentists to develop personalised treatment plans based on individual patient needs. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment. Experience A recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene is essential. Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques will be considered an advantage. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
