The post holder will be the line manager of our band 2 and band 3 administration and clerical staff, ensuring a high quality and comprehensive administrative service across maternity services.

The post holder will be responsible for working across various departments within maternity, providing a senior administrative function for inpatient, intrapartum, outpatient and community teams.

To work closely with the teams to ensure effective communication, consistency and standardization of clerical and administration processes across the maternity clinical business unit.

The post holder will take operational responsibility for the band 2 & band 3 administrative team, including the allocation of their work with the support of the Maternity Administration Co-ordinator.

Work with the line manager to promote safe working practices, ensuring compliance with roster KPIs, including annual leave management and promoting a positive work-life balance for the team.

Develop, manage, and review staff, including completing performance appraisals, 1:1s, training compliance, and supporting professional development.

This role will mainly cover Hinchingbrooke Hospital site with the requirement to cover Peterborough site as required to support service provision.
