About the Role

We are seeking an inspiring and experienced

Head of Mathematics

to lead the Mathematics Department at a forward-thinking school in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to take on a leadership role, fostering academic excellence and driving progress within the department. The position involves full teaching responsibilities alongside leadership duties, offering a blend of classroom engagement and strategic oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dynamic leadership for the Mathematics Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. Lead curriculum planning, development, and implementation to support student achievement. Inspire and manage a team of mathematics teachers, promoting collaboration and professional growth. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department, implementing improvements where necessary. Teach engaging and challenging mathematics lessons across Key Stages, fostering a love for the subject. Ensure the department aligns with school policies and contributes to whole-school initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

or equivalent. A proven track record of success in teaching mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
