Job Description We are seeking experienced Maths, English, and Functional Skills Tutors for full-time and part-time roles with flexible hours. As a Tutor, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Maths and English, from Entry Level to Level 2, including GCSEs. You will foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students of all backgrounds to achieve their educational goals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Functional Skills in Maths or English, from Entry Level to Level 2, including GCSEs. Create an engaging and inspiring learning environment with high expectations for learner achievement, progression, and success. Build strong, supportive relationships with learners, promoting trust and inclusivity. Plan and deliver lessons that facilitate consistent learner progress. Communicate effectively with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress. Model inclusive learning practices and celebrate diversity within the classroom. Ensure that all learners achieve at least good outcomes in their education. Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification is essential. Ideally QTLS qualified or holding a minimum Level 5 teaching qualification. Experience: Significant experience teaching Maths, English GCSEs, or Functional Skills. Experience working with young people, including those with complex behaviours or additional learning needs. Strong behaviour management experience, particularly with students who have challenging needs or behaviours.
