Math’s and English Tutors needed for a SEN College in Kent
An exciting role to start ASAP, I have a college looking for Math’s and English Tutors to teach small groups of SEN College pupils aged 16 to 25 years old.
The College has different sites around Kent, and they are based on farms, so wrap up warm! They are looking for tutors to teach entry level to level 2 Math’s and English, with class sizes ranging from 6 to 8 pupils. You will have TAs in the class (depending on the needs of the pupils) and no physical needs.
They provide an ambitious curriculum for all learners aged between 16-19 (19-25 with an Educational and Health Care Plan).
They offer a range of Qualifications through Awarding Organisations Pearson, NCFE, and SEG. They provide learners with the support they require to continue to learn transferable skills through Vocational Qualifications with English and Mathematics. Their project-based programmes of study are personalised so students can achieve their potential.
They recognise that academic achievement is part of the skills and knowledge a young person needs to develop, so they provide students with non-accredited support to develop their personal, social, emotional, and life skills. This is done through bespoke interventions, an established Personal Development Programme, enrichment activities, progression support, and work opportunities.
If you are interested, the role is full-time Monday to Friday, term time only, with hours from 9 am to 5 pm, and teaching hours from 10 am to 3:15 pm.
