GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Graduate to join a supportive secondary school in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their teaching career, with full training and development to guide you along the way. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of Maths lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Support students individually or in small groups to help them grasp key mathematical concepts. Provide classroom support, helping students stay engaged and focused during lessons. Assist in the preparation and creation of teaching resources and materials. Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and offering support where necessary. Get involved in extracurricular activities related to Maths, such as Maths clubs or revision sessions. The Ideal Candidate: A degree in Mathematics (2:2 or above). A strong desire to pursue a career in teaching and inspire young learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students. A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to work. Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) would be advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in developing your skills and taking the next step in your teaching career. This role is an ideal opportunity for a Maths graduate to gain invaluable experience in the classroom, develop their teaching skills, and receive guidance on how to progress to a full teaching qualification (such as School Direct or PGCE).
