The main responsibilities of the role will be to teach maths related subjects at our North Street and South Bank campuses and to develop programmes of study to meet the needs of our learners who have not yet achieved a Grade 4 or above in maths. The successful candidate will also be required to assess students in accordance with the requirements of the programme and to contribute to systems of quality and advice and assist in the effective organisation of the department by the proper establishment of such syllabuses, schemes of learning and records as may be necessary from time to time.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are:

  • A level 5 teaching qualification

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.

In return, you’ll enjoy a friendly and supportive workplace with excellent benefits which includes:

  • A well-respected pension scheme (Teacher’s Pension, with an employer contribution of 28.68%)
  • Free parking at all our College sites (on a first come first served basis)
  • Family friendly policies
  • Superb opportunities for training and development
  • Discounts and offers at major High Street and Online retailers
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

So, if you’d like to make a difference and be part of a unique organisation that supports one of the largest and most exciting employment sectors in the UK, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date:  Thursday 24th October

Please note this position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and in line with KCSIE (2024) an online check will be conducted on information available in the public domain.

The College is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. It is also committed to the Prevent programme and the requirement to prevent people being drawn into terrorism and expects all staff to share these commitments.
