Matron | Full-time, Temporary, Contract | Closing Date: Friday 31st January 2025

The Leys is a close-knit, engaged, friendly community of around 550 pupils in which pastoral care is seen as the top priority. We are seeking a temporary Matron to provide pastoral care and guidance within one of our Boarding Houses. You will be working closely with the Housemaster/mistress and House Team, to ensure a warm, purposeful, and pleasant atmosphere and routine within the House. We anticipate your working hours will be Term Time Only 07.30 – 15.30 Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term cover contract which will finish at the end of February 2025, although there may be a possibility of extension. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Before appointment to any role in the school, checks including an Enhanced DBS Check and workplace references will be undertaken in accordance with current statutory guidance. Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK is required. A probationary period will also apply.
