About The Role You will oversee and deliver comprehensive veterinary care, disease management, and biosecurity practices. This role requires hands-on care, research-driven innovation, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal flock health, production outcomes, and animal welfare. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and prevent health issues while implementing biosecurity measures and managing disease outbreaks. Train and mentor staff on health management, disease identification, and biosecurity best practices. Collaborate with farm managers, veterinarians, and nutritionists to optimise flock health and welfare. Lead emergency health protocols, including managing outbreaks and training staff for readiness. Maintain accurate health records, analyse data, and provide actionable reports to improve production and welfare. Manage veterinary resources and budgets, ensuring cost-effective care and preventive strategies. Participate in research initiatives and integrate advancements in veterinary science into daily operations. What We’re Looking For Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and current registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of QLD. Minimum 3 years’ experience in poultry veterinary practices. Strong knowledge of poultry health, welfare, and biosecurity regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
