We’re looking for an experienced, driven leader who has led the growth of a Software/SaaS business and is now looking to run a portfolio of SaaS businesses. This would suit an MD, CEO, COO, Founder/Co-Founder (or similar) who has excellent operational oversight and managed P&Ls in the £m. It is less suitable for someone with pure finance experience/CFO. You will be responsible for Strategic Leadership, Operational Oversight, M&A Integration, Growth and Performance, Talent Development and Stakeholder Engagement. You will have a lot of freedom to make decisions and shape the future of the business while working with a supportive team. The Organisation They acquire, manage, and build software companies in a variety of vertical markets, enabling them to be clear leaders in their industries. They don’t look to sell the companies and are a people-over-profit organisation. Key Responsibilities Set the direction of the company and make long-term plans for growth. Lead the team to meet goals and create a high-performance culture. Manage the company’s day-to-day activities, making sure everything runs smoothly and profitably. Lead efforts to acquire new companies. This includes finding targets, negotiating deals, and successfully integrating acquisitions into the business. Build strong relationships with investors, customers, and other key partners. Represent the company in important discussions. Help develop the leadership team, support senior staff, and create opportunities for people to grow within the company. Manage the company’s budget and financial performance, ensuring targets are met while looking for ways to improve profit and efficiency. What we’re looking for: 5–10 years experience as a CEO/MD or senior leader in a SaaS business. M&A background/understanding of the M&A deal flow. Good financial knowledge, with experience managing budgets and financial planning. Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence in engaging senior executives and shareholders. Experience in strategic planning, managing growth, and improving operations. Proven leadership abilities with a history of managing high-performing teams. Someone who is looking to grow with the company for the long term. Knowledge of the technology sector, particularly vertical-market software, is a strong asset. Why This Opportunity?
