This Manufacturing Engineering Process/Support Engineer vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Engineering process operations and acting as the first line of production support during the manufacture and assembly of satellite components, sub assemblies and structures. We are now looking for experienced Engineers to continue their career within AIT Mechanical Operations as part of a company expanding its internal space capability. Responsibilities

In line with project needs, perform the digital assignment of Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) to BOM hardware. Attach the associated design datapack and publish to the operational MES system. Monitor operational process performance and undertake Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) processes to optimise working modes and improve STV accuracy. Support the production team with operational build queries and escalate as required. Lead the investigation and first closure of operational non-conformances. Produce rework instructions, deviation plans, and discrepancies based on project requirements. Support Lessons Learned and PPS’s. Undertake small-scale continuous improvement initiatives to improve product cost, schedule, or quality. Support project meetings e.g. SQCDP. Qualifications

Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience. Candidates without accredited qualifications will be considered depending upon experience. Essential Skills

Assembly/Manufacturing Work Instructions. Rework Work Instructions. Blue Lines (Process Clarification to Production). Red Lines (Process Modifications). Continuous improvement solutions. Experience working in a high-quality Spacecraft Production (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Test) environment. General knowledge of Space systems, validation, and verification. Desired Skills

Cleanliness and Contamination. Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Awareness. Damage by Industrial Means (DIM) Awareness. Working at Height Safe Use & Theory. Health & Safety awareness for Manufacturing Engineers working on SOI. Experience

Experience of: RF interconnectivity - Coaxial cable, waveguide & fibre optics installation. Structural assembly Equipment / sub-assembly installation and integration. DC Harness installation and connection. Bonded item installation - Adhesive bonding. MLI installation (thermal blanket) & Thermal filler manufacture and installation. Test Instrumentation. Laser tracking. Delmia Apriso Trained - MBOM / Delmia Instruction Authoring / Effectivity & Generic Management. Benefits
