We have an exciting opportunity for an M&E Project Manager for a UK wide contractor, based in Waterloo, London who specialise in the project management and planning services for commercial and residential projects in the construction industry.

This is a 6 month minimum project starting end of February 2024. It could continue for the very long term or go permanent for the right candidate.

As M&E Project Manager, you will be leading the Project delivery team, supporting a main contractor on their RC Frame, Multi Story 90 plus bedroom luxury apartment project.

You MUST have previous M&E Project Management experience or strong Site Manager experience and be ready to take the next step up. The successful candidates will have a strong electrical or mechanical background and will have worked on similar luxury apartment or student accommodation projects.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Previous experience as a Project Manager leading a large team and delivering a project or managing a substantial section within a complex major project. You must display enthusiasm, passion, and confidence combined with an open communication style and be comfortable leading team briefings, chairing meetings on site. Demonstrates visible and pro-active leadership style with clear commitment to safety, quality, and environmental issues. Understands and is able to work with the clients' systems and processes. Involved and able to guide decision making to ensure that decisions taken on the project are robust and meet project goals and objectives. Understands risks and evaluates options for mitigation and control. Able to identify where cost and value can be managed for the overall benefit of the project. Able to build strong working relationships with Client, Partners, Supply Chain and project staff and plan a diary to make time to meet, discuss and resolve issues through regular dialogue. Be able to organise time and prioritise actions to be visible and present where needed e.g. possession weekends/supplier events/safety breakfasts. Understands the clients corporate strategy and priorities, and the relationship of the project and its team to them.

Qualifications and Certificates:

SMSTS CSCS - Gold or Black expected NVQ level 6 (Or Higher) Mechanical or Electrical Degree or related field. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Mechanical or Electrical Trades background.

Benefits:

Competitive salary - £300 to £330 per day (depending on experience) Temporary Project Could go permanent for the right candidate 6 months work minimum Start February 2025 Weekly Pay Location - Waterloo - London.
