Our client is looking to recruit an M&E Site Manager to oversee the daily activity on a Mechanical and Electrical installation and refurbishment project on a large-scale estate in the Accrington area. The role is a contract position circa 6-8 weeks (may be continuation). Paying 24/hr PAYE – 30/hr CIS. 40 hours per week. Responsibilities:
Oversee daily site operations and project planning – Mechanical and Electrical building services. Supervise and oversee in-house and sub-contracting engineers on site. Good understanding of design and project risks. Identify, manage and escalate risks where necessary. Contribute and manage against the sequence of works for the project programme. Drive the project programme, ensuring key milestones are maintained. Foresee potential points of failure and react accordingly. Prepare and present regular progress reports including programme drop lines to project stakeholders. Understand the importance of the development and submission of RFI’s, TQ’s and drive close out of items raised. Make sound business decisions under pressure. Excellent time management, ability to delegate, prioritise key tasks and workload when working to strict deadlines. Lead by example, promote the highest standards with regards to HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements in all instances. Requirements:
Experience of Site/Project Management within M&E engineering. Experience of working in projects on prestigious facilities. H&S skilled and trained with the relevant site qualification – CSCS/SSSTS. Excellent man-management skills. Experience of sub-contractor oversight on site. An innovative and creative thinker with a high level of enthusiasm, ambition and professionalism.
