Arcus Facilities Management are recruiting for a M&E Technical Trainer to join us on a permanent basis at our new Stevenage Training Premises! Responsibilities

You’ll be delivering bespoke content to our internal Arcus engineering teams at all levels. You’ll be working with managers and stakeholders to identify internal training needs and trends within the business. As part of the training team, you will be responsible for design, delivery, evaluation, and administration of all training delivery solutions which will include a blended approach to learning, such as coaching, classroom training, on-the-job training, 1:1 sessions, social learning, and virtual learning. Qualifications

You’d have the following Qualifications: Recognised Apprenticeship/Trade Qualification in a relevant electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC discipline 18th Edition City & Guilds 2079 (FGAS Cat 1) (desirable) Test and Inspection (desirable) CO2 qualified (desirable) CSCS card (desirable) PTTLS/DTTLS (desirable) Full driving licence (essential) You'd have the following experience: Significant engineering experience ideally gained in a retail environment Substantial experience in a technical role within a relevant engineering discipline Experience in a wide range of plumbing, electrical and HVAC installation and maintenance tasks. Experience with refrigeration systems, heat pumps and air conditioning plant. Experience with control systems and working knowledge of relays, contactors, PLCs and associated wiring diagrams and drawings. Experience of working with sustainable energy systems (desirable) Experience of delivery of classroom, virtual and/or “on the job” learning (desirable) You’d have the following knowledge: Must possess the relevant technical M&E skills and knowledge required. These may include some or all of the following elements: M&E – Air Conditioning, BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems), Electrical Service & Installation, Plumbing, Heating, 3 Phase Electrics, Renewable Technologies (such as PV, heat pump systems, GRICHS, Biomass etc). It is desirable that this individual possesses some Refrigeration skills/knowledge, such as Refrigeration Control Systems. Experience of shutters and gates systems is desirable. You’d have the following skills: It’s desirable that you have some experience in delivering training, however, this is not essential as personal development & support will be provided for this Existing presentation skills are desirable You’ll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and use diplomacy with clients and colleagues Significant post qualification experience in the industry at the grade of engineer You’ll have the ability to facilitate engineers in a pressurised environment You’ll be capable of prioritising a complex and demanding workload Proficient IT skills You’ll have the flexibility and willingness to learn You’d be working within a small team of trainers. Ideally, you’d be based in the London/North London area. Your main place of work will be our new Stevenage training site, but you will be required to travel to other Arcus or Client sites as and when necessary. Therefore, a full UK driving licence is essential for this role as is the flexibility for UK travel and overnight stays.
