Mechanic/Fitter focuses on as a senior technician, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance.
What the role involves
- As a Senior Technician, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance.
- Also provide technical guidance to colleagues and help ensure the efficient delivery of fleet maintenance services.
- Ensure that all works are carried out to the standards defined in current legislation, codes of practice and manufacturers specifications.
- # Ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all work undertaken on the vehicle fleet and machinery.
- # Assist in the planning of the vehicle maintenance schedules, liaising with operations staff where necessary.
- Provide advice to drivers.
Skills and requirements
- Order stocks required and liaise with contractors.
- Essential Qualifications City & Guilds Level 5 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (or equivalent experience).
- Full C+E Driving Licence.
- Driver Qualification Card (35 hours Driver CPC completed).

- MPI are looking for a temporary Senior Technician (Fleet & Plant Maintenance), for our client based in Huntington Contract Approx.
- 3 months Pay is £18.38 to £20.56/h on a grade F (£35,468 to £39,671).

- Repair, inspection, and diagnostic work while supporting the Workshop Manager in the day-to-day coordination of workshop activities.
- Key Responsibilities # To undertake a range of repair, maintenance and safety checks as directed, relating to the council’s fleet of vehicles, plant and machinery.
