Mechanical Architecture Specialist Location: Stevenage / Hybrid (3 days p/week on site) 6 month contract Outside IR35 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Architecture Specialist to join a major Defence company on behalf of a consultancy we are working with. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in capturing critical parameters within the Missile TRS, supporting the optimum mechanical architecture, and ensuring compliance with all requirements. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Capturing Critical Parameters:

Capture critical parameters within the Missile TRS, ensuring that the mechanical architecture and interfaces meet the TRS requirements. Optimum Mechanical Architecture:

Support the optimum mechanical architecture for all variants of the missile, ensuring the mechanical architecture and interfaces meet requirements. Technical Specifications:

Establish or update the Technical Requirement and Interface Defining Specifications for a sub-system. Safety Approval:

Ensure Safety Officer approval of the missile safety design, focusing on Mechanical Configuration. GMA Policies Implementation:

Implement GMA Policies to ensure Modularity & Reuse objectives are achieved. Statements of Work:

Produce Statements of Work and programmes for activities within their sphere of responsibility. Budget Control:

Control assigned budgets (Task Instructions) as applicable, manage personal workload, and identify any further resource needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical architecture or a related field. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Security Clearance:

Must possess or be able to obtain security clearance. Skills: Mechanical architecture and engineering. Risk management and mitigation. Report preparation and presentation. Team collaboration and support. Budget management and resource planning.
