This role focuses on the build, assembly, and installation of friction welding machinery, requiring expertise in spindle building, base leveling, and working with complex mechanical sub-assemblies such as clamps, hydraulics, and pneumatics. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to cutting-edge machine-building projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Machine Assembly:

Build and assemble bespoke machinery, including spindles, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components. Precision Work:

Perform base leveling and ensure accurate alignment of mechanical systems. Drawing Interpretation:

Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. Systems Installation:

Install hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems. Onsite Work:

Conduct onsite installations, repairs, and upgrades at customer locations in the UK and internationally. Machining:

Operate equipment such as millers, lathes, and grinders to fabricate or modify parts when required. Quality Control:

Inspect components using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to enhance build processes and support project planning initiatives. Role Requirements:

Strong background in bespoke machine building, specifically spindle assembly and base leveling. Mechanical Engineering qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC). Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and fluid schematics. Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems. Familiarity with operating machine shop tools (e.g., millers, lathes, grinders). Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must possess a valid UK driving license and passport for international travel. What We Offer:
