As a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer, you will produce accurate and detailed CAD drawings and models to support the design and development of mechanical products and systems. You will primarily focus on designing sheet metal enclosures, mounting brackets, and components for electronic products. You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing and R&D teams to create high-quality mechanical designs for manufacturing and assembly. Key Responsibilities: Create and revise 2D/3D mechanical drawings and models using CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar). Interpret design briefs, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate designs. Collaborate with engineers, customers, and suppliers to develop and refine designs. Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, company specifications, and project requirements. Manage and maintain an organized library of CAD files and design documentation using Autodesk Vault. Contribute to design reviews and offer practical solutions to design challenges. Essential Qualifications & Skills: Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent. Converting CAD files to Autodesk Revit Families is desirable. Proficiency in vector image editing software such as Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent. Experience in producing 2D/3D mechanical drawings for manufacturing and assembly. Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal, fabrication). Ability to interpret and create technical drawings according to BS/ISO standards, including BS8888. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. The Package: Salary: Negotiable based on experience. Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Time in lieu policy. Profit-related annual bonus. Company pension scheme.
