JOB DESCRIPTION NOV is the global leader in the design and manufacturing of wireline products for slickline and electric line applications and is a subsidiary company of NOV. Due to an increase in orders at our Kintore location, we are recruiting a Cell Leader within our organisation. Working in our ANSON assembly and testing area utilising your technical knowledge and professional experience you will contribute to the delivery of precision components for on and offshore applications. Acting under the guidance of your line manager, the role requires knowledge of modern assembly processes, with a mechanical background, material stock control and planning. Previous experience running a workshop, Assembly, testing, stock control and workload planning are essential for this position. You will be responsible for the day to day running of a world class facility, ensuring a high standard of quality is maintained. You will support a team of people improving Assembly techniques of NOV ISE products through specific techniques as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving. You will have a team of people reporting to you and be responsible for work allocation, Stock management, servicing and calibration of all equipment within the ANSON assembly and testing area. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the team works in a safe manner stopping any activities thought to be unsafe and report as necessary. Plan sequence of each WO scheduled to achieve optimum efficiency & work flow. Operate designated machine safely and competently, ensuring that all HSE and housekeeping standards are maintained. Determine production requirements (e.g. output quality and quantity, cost, time, labour requirements), e.g. by analysing charts, work orders, production schedules, etc. Maintain an organized / visual workspace including inventory (5S understanding and LEAN principles). Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for function activities. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Give instructions to workers, e.g. about work specifications, equipment operation. Ensure quality procedures are adhered to, raise NCR's and maintain material tractability throughout manufacturing process. Support key initiatives such as on time delivery, schedule attainment, cost of quality. Generate and implement improvement ideas and encourage idea generation among team members. Be familiar with and use of proactive root cause problem solving (Fishbone, 5 WHYS etc.). Responsible for the technical and behavioural mentoring of operators and apprentices. QUALIFICATIONS:

Time served apprenticeship or HNC in a relevant subject (essential). Further education in a relevant subject (desirable). EXPERIENCE:

Working knowledge of all aspects of wireline winches and masts within a manufacturing environment (essential). Working knowledge of a modern assembly facility (essential). Previous experience in a similar role leading and motivating a team (essential). Supervisor/chargehand position in previous employment (desirable). SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook) (essential). Stock management of consumables and material (essential). What NOV can offer you?
