JOB DESCRIPTION

The Job Mission As a

Mechanical Construction Engineer , you will take a lead role in delivering mechanical scopes of work within the MEH construction phase of Hinkley Point C. This is a key position to ensure consistency, compliance, and successful project outcomes. Lead and motivate teams, driving best practices across mechanical construction activities. Define and manage scopes of work, ensuring alignment with MEH documentation. Oversee and deliver Construction Workpacks (CWPs), achieving first-time acceptance. Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and procedural updates. Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards, site licenses, and HSE requirements. Coordinate with subject matter experts and client counterparts to resolve technical challenges. Provide leadership in safe access coordination and topographical surveying to support construction works. Directly report to the Building Manager and manage resources effectively to meet project needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

HNC/D in Mechanical Engineering. CCSNG Safety Passport or SMSTS certification. IOSH Managing Safely certification. Experience on major construction sites, preferably within the nuclear sector. Knowledge of Work Authorisation and Permit systems. Desired Skills

Proven experience working on highly regulated projects. Track record of leadership in mechanical construction projects. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
