If you join us, you can play your part as a Construction Engineer - Mechanical at the Hinkley Point C new nuclear build in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling, and associated support services. The role As a Construction Engineer - Mechanical, you’ll lead, manage, and motivate the team through implementation of best practices, support continuous improvement programmes to enhance processes/procedures, and ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements. Day to day, you’ll deliver Mechanical & Piping Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme while demonstrating positive HSE leadership and building a strong HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the Project. Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance. Enable the requesting and compliance of the MEH Alliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB. Enable the coordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction works. Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support the MEH Alliance construction works. Prioritise and own documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan (e.g., T-3 months accepted prior to works). Ensure documents are compliant with the latest works information and other MEH documentation. This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week based in Bridgwater, Somerset. Essential experience of the Construction Engineer - Mechanical Experience working on major construction projects with a proven track record in a highly regulated sector and knowledge of Safe Systems of Work. Experienced in delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience within Joint Ventures. Qualifications for the Construction Engineer - Mechanical HNC/ONC or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing Mechanical and Piping systems.
