Mechanical Construction Manager As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the site installation, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all site operatives. You will oversee the project’s progress according to the construction programme, from installation to commissioning, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Your role will include: Site Leadership: Overseeing mechanical (and at times electrical) installations, ensuring alignment with the project schedule and client expectations. You’ll manage a collaborative approach with professional teams, and other trades to ensure smooth execution and a snag-free project delivery. Health & Safety: You will be accountable for ensuring safety standards are met, including method statements, risk assessments, and safety training for operatives. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and welfare policies is critical. Quality Management: You will be responsible for administering project quality assurance documents and ensuring that the mechanical installations are completed in accordance with project specifications. This includes managing testing and commissioning activities to meet contractual milestones. Multi-Disciplinary Focus: As part of an M&E company, you will sometimes be required to manage both Mechanical and Electrical project elements, contributing to a multi-disciplined work culture within the team. Client & Team Collaboration: You will work closely with the client and project stakeholders to ensure their needs are met, providing timely updates, and ensuring a high standard of workmanship. Your leadership, commitment to safety, and focus on delivering projects on time and within budget will be crucial to the success of the project. Key Requirements An appropriate Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
