Mechanical Contracts Manager: Our client, a leading construction and mechanical services company, is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. Role and Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the mechanical elements of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the delivery of projects to a high standard, on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include: Project Oversight: Manage multiple mechanical contracts simultaneously, ensuring they meet the client's expectations and regulatory standards. Budget Control: Prepare and manage budgets for mechanical installations, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards. Team Leadership: Supervise mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and on-site teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site. Client Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and resolving any issues that arise. Contract Negotiation: Handle contracts from inception to completion, including the negotiation of terms, reviewing contract documents, and ensuring all obligations are met. Scheduling and Reporting: Oversee the project schedule, ensuring that milestones are met and any delays are minimized, with comprehensive reporting to senior management. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within the residential and commercial sectors. Strong knowledge of mechanical services (HVAC, plumbing, ventilation, and heating systems). Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and construction laws. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or construction management (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree-level qualification). Desirable: Experience in both residential and commercial projects, with the ability to switch between the two sectors seamlessly. Knowledge of building regulations and BIM (Building Information Modeling) practices. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Asta Powerproject, or similar).
