This position’s prime objective is to improving equipment reliability by carrying out Preventive and corrective maintenance on the plant in line with the HeidelbergCement Maintenance Improvement Plan. Key accountabilities
Support the maintenance Team leader, and be a central part of the maintenance team generally as outlined below by performing mechanical inspections and carrying out planned and corrective maintenance on the plant as directed by your Team leader or Managers. Receive work instructions for routine planned and corrective maintenance and carry out the duties as written or directed. Work within a team or singly as required by your immediate person in charge. Take an active part in the 8am MIP meetings and to provide information as required. Ensure all activities are carried out within the company requirements of safety, environment and quality and performing other duties as requested by your maintenance supervisor / team leader or manager. A proactive and effective member of the maintenance team. Liaison with other members of the maintenance team as necessary to promote the effectiveness of the team. Involvement in site activities to ensure efficient and effective maintenance methods. Involvement with the MIP systems. Job requirements
Good understanding of health safety and environmental impacts of role. Experience and understanding of mechanical fitting and maintenance of equipment including compressed air generation and distribution, process lines, vessels, conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filter systems, milling, pneumatics hydraulics bearings, gear boxes etc. Welding and burning for fabrication and maintenance. Use of pulling and lifting gear. Experienced in the use of workshop equipment such as lathes, milling machines drill press etc. Mechanical fault finding and ability to take suitable action. Experience of heavy/chemical industry manufacturing plants. Education/Qualification
NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent. What’s on Offer:
